The Wizard’s Beans Or: A Short Period of Unplanned Internment is a text-based comedy adventure involving enchanted beans, alchemical elements, and most uncivil confinement while tackling subjects such as personal boundaries and humor.
It had to happen at some point: An evil wizard locked you up in his tower! Since he probably has plans for you, you need your wits to plan your escape. Solve puzzles, enlist magic beans, eat soap, and confront the menacing mage. Will you keep cracking jokes or learn from your mistakes? Your choices matter.
*) There is one situation but players are given ample warning.
The game is not for you if you are looking for
The Wizard’s Beans started as Bean There, Done That, an entry in the Ludum Dare 56 game jam for which it was made in 48 hours. In the end, the game placed 8th in mood, 6th in humor, and 4th in audio.
Inspired by its success, we here at Pixel Prophecy decided to massively crank up the production value, expand the game, add more puzzles, punch up the humor (and ourselves), and add a spoonful replay value.
