A little screensaver / toy for DOS to help you procrastinate

I was toying aroud with Free Pascal and how to speed up plotting pixels. This little toy is the fallout of those experiments and uses a fast “dirty rectangle” implementation to maintain a healthy framerate.

Requirements

• CPU: i386 or better
• VGA Graphics Adapter

Installation

Unzip the contents in a folder and run GRIDDY.EXE from DOS (or DOSBox).

Usage

• [SPACE] to clear the canvas
• [M] to toggle sound effects when the plot bounces off edges
• [ESC] to quit to DOS
