Re-watching X-Files on BluRay again (it’s gorgeous!) and watching agent Scully type her reports in WordPerfect 5.1, I thought I make a little retro-application with C#/WPF myself over one mellow weekend in 2016.

Why let only the Instagram users and indie-game devs have all the fun making stuff “retro”? How about a retro application that looks as if it’s 30+ years old?

So Scully is the result. The stupid custom caret drawing took too many hours to get working/looking good and there are no scroll bars by design.

After attempting to implement a multiple-monitor, fully dpi-aware full screen function I gave up because of what looks like a buggy function somewhere in Microsoft’s library.
